Caveat emptor....movie goers beware

Be careful when visiting new venues to know the pricing details ahead of time.

Do not go to the new Chestnut Hill movie theater expecting it to be a reasonably priced family outing.  I sent my 2 daughters last week with their grandmother to a 12:20 matinee expecting the ticket prices to be about $10 or less per person. The tickets were $20 per person for the first 3 rows and then if one wanted the normal stadium section seats were $28 per person.  Instead of typical movie ushers there were 5 attendants dressed in suits to escort movie goers to their seats.  Each attendee is given a $5 voucher towards their $7 popcorn.  Who wants popcorn or ushers in black tie?  The audience had 4 people and a staff of 5.  This is where the premium money goes!!

No where in the newspaper or ticket sites does it warn one that this truly is a high premium theater.  You are not made aware of these absurd prices until you are in line and ready to buy your tickets.  My family was totally off guard and we will never return to this outrageous venue again.
