Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick spoke at an energy summit in Foxborough Tuesday, elaborating on work done to make the state's energy supply more environmentally friendly. The governor, speaking in front of the "Massachusetts: Leading the Nation in the Energy Savings Revolution" summit at Gillette Stadium, noted that the state had been named the most energy-efficient state by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy. The state wrested that title from longtime green energy leader California. On Monday the Sherborn Police Department received a call from a homeowner that coyotes had killed eight sheep and wounded several others at their home on Western Avenue.
On Monday, the Sherborn Police Department received a call from a homeowner that coyotes had killed eight sheep and wounded several others at their home on Western Avenue. The number of coyote sightings has been growing in Dover and Sherborn and while authorities say that humans are generally not at risk there are preventative measures that can be taken to try and keep coyotes away from your property. “There is not a safety issue with children and families. Coyotes go after sheep. Sheep happen to be available at this particular residence and that’s kind of what happened,” said Sherborn Police Officer Paul Van Vliet. Monday- May 7, 2012 Well Being Check- 12:18 p.m. Powissett Street, Grossman Day Camp- Medfield PD requested a check of the Grossman Camp area for an individual that may be depressed, he was last seen in Medfield on Sunday 5/07/12 at about 17:30. The individual works part time for Hale Reservation. Officer checked the area with negative results. Camp staff were advised of the situation and will call us if they see him.
