Heck, summer and it's not even Halloween? Well, as George R. R. Martin says "Winter is coming" - and the squirrel population explosion from last year's acorn enormous harvest is now going to be looking everywhere for something to eat, including getting in to homes. If it's a severe winter, same problem with deer -and it will be your landscaping that takes a hit.
