Charles River School Celebrates 60th Annual Fall Fair

The annual fair coincides with school's 100th anniversary this year.

The 60th Annual Charles River School Fair saw sun, fun, rides, slides, barbecue and a whole lot more on a beautiful breezy Saturday afternoon in Dover. Susan Hughes, the associate director of development and admissions at the school, said, “This is our 60th year of the fair and 100th anniversary of the school, so this is kind of a big deal.” She said she was happy to see members of the community at the fair participating in the all the activities, such as a cake walk, arts and crafts, amusement rides, pony rides and games. Hughes said she was very grateful to the Fair Chair Parents Nischa Dubois and Beckett Dent. Dubois said of the turnout, “It was great. I’m very pleased with the weather. Family festivals, special storytimes and yodeling are on the agenda for this weekend.

The Charles River School in Dover will hold their 60th Annual Fall Fair on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The fair will bring fun for the whole family. Activities will include rides, games, arts and crafts, pony rides, hayrides, a cakewalk, JELL-O eating contest, face painting, baked goods, a yard sale and much more. Admission is Free. What adventures can take place if you give a dog a donut? Find out during a special children's storytime at the Barnes and Noble in the Walpole Mall on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. This free storytime event will feature the book "If You Give a Dog a Donut" by Laura Numeroff, a tale told through many colorful pictures sure to delight your child.
