Highlights included the dunk tank, the hula hoop toss and lolipop tree.

The following was submitted by Rebecca Kovrlija, Community Outreach Chair for the Dover PTO: At this year's Dover PTO booth, over 200 children enjoyed playing a variety of games and winning prizes.   But, if you asked anyone in the assembled crowd, the highlight was dunking a favorite Dover celebrity.  This fun and very popular event was made possible by the generosity of four local sponsors and over 60 volunteers, including Chickering parents and students. Dover personalities braving the dunk tank included Chickering Assistant Principal Deb "Riptide" Reinemann, Dover Selectman Jim Dawley, also known as "The Black and Blue Swan," School Committee Member Karl "Jumping Jellyfish" Johnson and Police Officer "Hightide" Harry Grabert. Chickering School PTO Holds Third Annual Picnic

New playground equipment was unveiled while a DJ entertained, a food truck fed the crowd and an ice cream truck provided dessert (and excitement).

The Chickering School in has some new playground equipment, and anyone who attended last night's Chickering School PTO Picnic knows that this equipment will most certainly fulfil its use. The Chickering School PTO held their third annual picnic last night, and organizers said it was the largest turnout they had ever had. Not only was the weather perfect, but the date aligned perfectly with the school schedule in that they didn't have today off for an extended long weekend this year. "It's definitely more people than we've ever had in three years," PTO Co-President Heather Tourtellotte said. One reason may have been the addition of a food truck, as Chickering welcomed Captain Marden's Cod Squad, who served a little bit of everything, …

And everyone looking for a good place to buy their next home takes a closer look at our towns because they care about their kids getting a great education. After all, that’s what many of us did when we moved here. “A lot of people come to Sherborn for the schools instead of sending their kids to private school” says Jeanne Ward, a seasoned agent at Century 21 Commonwealth Properties.
