Can you dunk your favorite police officer in the dunk tank?
The Dover Police Association will be holding their annual Open House, Sunday, June 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The family-oriented Open House will be held at the Dover Police Department, 3 Walpole St, Dover. Take a tour of the police station, including the emergency communications center, booking & jail cells and firearms range. There will be a Police K9 demonstration and the MetroLEC SWAT Command Post will be on display throughout the day. All are invited to this free family event which will include an outdoor cookout, a dunk tank and moonwalks.
Many community organizations took part in the Dover-Sherborn High School Dollars for Scholars night at which students could learn what local scholarships are available to graduating D-S seniors.
Students and parents gathered at the Dover-Sherborn Regional High School on Wednesday night to collect college scholarship information from local organizations that offer awards to local students. “We’re trying to give the parents and students a first look at what’s available for scholarship money,” said Rebecca Cellucci who helped organize this year’s event. Senior Teddy Mosher, 17, of Dover, appreciated the effort. “I’m here to see what different scholarships are available to me,” he said. “As college costs get higher and higher, any amount of money is helpful toward the cost of college…There seems to be a scholarship for any kind of student, whether you’re artsy or sports-oriented, I think it’s great that no matter what kind of student…
