Car vs. Deer, Burglar Alarm

The Dover police department provided the following information. Patch prints all arrests.

Monday, May 6 1:04 p.m.: Officers responded to a call of a deer vs car crash on Walpole Street with no injuries to humans.  Tuesday, May 7 9:11 a.m.: A caller reported her neighbor's dog keeps getting out harassing the neighborhood children. Officers notified animal control, who cited the dog owner and will update the caller.  4:58 p.m.: An alarm company reported a general burglar alarm at a home on Sterling Drive. Officers responded and cleared the house and spoke with the homeowner.

Dover Log: Late-night Mistaken Delivery Startles Resident

The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department.

Wednesday, Feb. 6 6:50 p.m: The Fire Department responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Main Street. The censor read that there weren't elevated carbon monoxide levels; the detector was malfunctioning. Thursday, Feb. 7 3:54 a.m.: A Farm Street resident reported someone was walking in their driveway with a flashlight. Police responded and advised that an electrical supply delivery driver made a mistake with delivery. 4:01 p.m.: A driver received a written warning for speed on Farm Street, and a verbal warning for not having a driver's license in possession. 4:40 p.m.: Police stopped a vehicle and issued a citation for failure to wear a seatbelt.

Driver Blows Past School Bus, Gets Citation

The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department.

The following is an excerpt of Dover Police log entries from Feb. 2 to Feb. 5. Saturday, Feb. 2  10:35 a.m.: Prescription glasses found in Caryl Park were turned in to the Police Department. 4:13 p.m.: A party stated she lost her keys in Caryl Park and would have to leave her vehicle overnight. She was going to be returning for the vehicle in the morning. 6:03 p.m.: The Fire Department reported a smoke alarm at Dover Market. The smoke was caused by a fire on the rotisserie grill. Workers were advised to clean the grill. Sunday, Feb. 3 6:15 p.m.: Police referred a call to the Fire Department; a resident on Clover Circle had left food in the oven. Dover Log: Driver Escorted to Hospital, Little Dog Roams

The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Feb. 1 8:04 a.m.: An employee at Dover Mobil called and said a customer drove off without paying. Information for the person's vehicle was obtained, and police contacted the person. The issue was resolved. 9:44 a.m.: Damage was reported to the lot entrance at the Caryl Park Ball Fields on Dedham Street. 1:55 p.m.: Police will be seeking a summons to arrest a person for larceny over $250 from a building on Turtle Lane. 4:03 p.m.: Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on Glen Street. The driver was in a hurry to get to the hospital. Police escorted the driver to the town line. 4:48 p.m.: A small white dog was reported to be roaming the area around 12 Hunt Dr. The dog was gone upon police arrival. 11:52 p.m.: Police found a half-full …

Dover Police Log: Wind Storm Knocked Down Trees Throughout Town

The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department.

Thursday, Jan. 31 1:54 a.m.: A Bryant Lane resident reported a tree was leaning against wires and was on fire. An officer reported the wind was blowing the tree and the wires against each other, causing constant contact and a fire. NStar was notified and responded. 5:39 a.m.: A resident was walking on Grand Hill Drive when she came across a tree in the road. The Highway Department was notified and removed the tree. 5:48 a.m.: An officer moved a tree limb to the side of the road on Woodridge and Rocky Brook roads. 6:11 a.m.: A motorist on Walpole Street reported a tree was down and partially blocking the road. The Highway Department removed the tree. 6:16 a.m.: A large tree limb was blocking Pine Street. An officer removed the branch and …

Sunday, August 26 Littering Complaint (8:51 a.m.) - Officers were called to the area near where Dedham St. and Strawberry Hill St. intersect after it was reported there was someone littering there. Upon arrival, and after a search of the area, officers did not find the ilttering. Dog in Street (12:50 p.m.) - A caller reported a dog running in the street on Hartford St. The caller was concerned the dog would get hit by a car. The animal control officer was notified. The owner of the dog called and stated that they would come get the dog at the station. Vandalism by Egg Throwers (10:27 p.m.) - A caller on Meadowbrook Rd. reports that a group of youths threw eggs at his vehicle and then fled in a light blue sedan, possibly a Camry, towards …
