The peace memorials will remain open to the public, and the Peace Abbey will be able to pay off its debt.
The financially struggling Peace Abbey has been sold to a buyer that plans to restore the buildings and keep the memorials on site available to the public, Founder/Director Lewis M. Randa announced on his website. "The Peace Memorials remain open to the pubic in perpetuity under legal restrictions on the Deed," Randa wrote. "We are now able to pay off the entire debt to the bank and all of our wonderful shareholders and continue with many of the Peace Abbey programs and projects from our Schoolhouse in Millis." Bianca Mase and Ollie Luey have been great friends since they were young. Now 15, Ollie is a sophomore at Dover-Sherborn High School and Bianca is a sophomore at Medford High. Last year after the Peace Abbey Camp they came up with an idea to street perform in Harvard Square, Cambridge to raise money. Bianca juggles while Ollie serenades her with the accordion. Together the duo dresses up in their black and white striped outfits and make-up to entertain the crowds of people walking by. Just last week they made $57, which they donated to the Peace Abbey, while performing during the "Monday Night Movies” …

In an interview with Urmston, he recalls his hometown influences.
Rock guitarist, vocalist, social activist and lifelong Sherborn resident Chad Urmston recently played to a sold out crowd with his band Dispatch at the Boston’s TD Garden. Patch caught up with Chad a few days after their show. After playing at the Garden, Urmston said, “It was a trip to play there after the Bruins won [the Stanley Cup].” His humble beginnings were in rural Sherborn where he starting playing trombone at Pine Hill Elementary School in the fourth grade and continued all the way through college. He said at Pine Hill he was taught by Mrs. Paula Winter. “I think her name is different now,” he said he recently got a nice letter from her. Among those who nurtured his love of music were Mr. Nolte, who taught him trombone at the …
