1. The Chickering School will have Back to School Night tonight at 7 p.m. It will begin with the admin. staff doing a 20 minute presentation before parents can go to the classrooms for two 20 minute sessions (so as to accommodate parents with more than one child). 2. A reminder- there will be no school in Dover-Sherborn on Monday, September 17, as it is the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah. 3. Another reminder- there is still time to register to vote for the General Election in November. This is the election that will determine who is the President of the United States for the next four years. There are also several other positions up for grabs, including United States Senator. Monday, Aug. 13 IPad Lost, Then Found (9:08 a.m.) - A local resident asked Dover Police to see if an iPad she accidentally left in the Transfer Station's "swap shop" was still there. Officers checked the area and were able to locate the device, which was later returned to the owner. Officers were dispatched to the scene and were able to peacefully resolve the situation. Lost Dog Found- A Bogastow Brook Road resident reported that a yellow lab had been swimming in her pool. The dog's owner was contacted and reunited with their pet. Thursday, August 2 Arrest- Police stopped a motor vehicle on Spywood Road when it was seen driving erratically. Saturday, August 4 Lost Child- At a little after 11 a.m. the Needham police contacted the Dover PD to inform them that a child was lost not far from the Dover line. Dover officers assisted in looking for the child and notifying area businesses to be on the lookout. The child was found.
