Sherborn 2012 Annual Town Meeting Results
All 34 article motions passed with the exception of Article 26 which dealt with the town adopting a policy to allow for recall elections.
Sherborn's 235th Annual Town Meeting was held Tuesday night in the Lindquist Commons auditorium at the Dover-Sherborn High School. There were 34 articles on this year's warrant and all 34 were voted on Tuesday night, therefore, there will be no second night of Town Meeting necessary. All article motions passed with the exception of Article 26 which deals with petitioning the General Court for a special act that would adopt the ability for the town to hold recall elections for elected officials in Sherborn. The Advisory Board recommended favorable action on the article by a vote of 4-2. Several townspeople spoke against approving the Advisory Board's recommendation. First, as you correctly reported, the only Article that failed was Article 26, the Selectman's Proposal proposing the addition of a Recall provision in the Town's By-Laws.
