A Ravens cheerleader has been making headlines for the reasons she says she was banned from cheering on Super Bowl Sunday.
The story of a Baltimore Ravens cheerleader who said she was disciplined for weight gain—and believes this is a reason she was left behind from the Super Bowl—has been making headlines across the country. Cheerleader Courtney Lenz said she thinks her team didn't take her to the Super Bowl was because she gained 1.6 pounds. Admittedly, her story has changed through the week: Yahoo Sports noted she first said the team was upset because she had chosen to retire at the end of the season. She later told Good Morning America she thought the decision was because of her weigh-in. My Super Bowl cake is made only once a year, but the recipe is pretty good for any day!
Ingredients: (Cake) 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups white sugar 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup sour cream 3 eggs 1 pinch baking soda Handful dried cranberries (or cherries) (Glaze) 1/2 cup powdered sugar Dash vanilla About 2 tablespoons water Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour a 8x4 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add sour cream and eggs. Add flour and pinch of soda, mix well. Add cranberries or cherries for flavor/color. Pour into pan and bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.

I was wondering who would care about this story and why anyone would waste their time on writing it and then I saw it was from the Hufffington Post and that explained it all. I dont think I have ever read anything interesting or factual in that rag.   more ›
