Sheborn's Summer Concert Series Kicks Off
Beatles cover band, "The Nowhere Men," entertain crowd at library green.
In the cool of the evening sun, Sherborn residents brought chairs, blankets, pasta salad, last night’s meatballs and drinks to enjoy the first summer concert on the library green. The official first concert was originally slated for earlier in the month but was delayed because of tornado warnings. Dozens of families gathered to enjoy music by a Beatle's cover band, "The Nowhere Men" who played such hits, as ‘You’re Gonna Lose that Girl’, ‘Ticket to Ride’ and ‘Paperback Writer’ from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dover resident McGeger McGehee, is a lead bass player for the band. “We try to keep things local,” said Nancy Holland, music coordinator for the Friends of Sherborn Library.
