Cinco de Mayo is an annual celebration to commemorate the anniversary of Mexico’s 1862 victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla. In the U.S., the day is celebrated with a feast of Mexican cuisine, shared with family and friends. In this hands-on class, Chef Thi will teach you to craft Vegetable Tamales, Marinated Shrimp Tostadas, Mexican Rice, Rojo Sauce, and Salsa Macha.
Included in this class:
<ul><li>Cooking demonstration and hands-on learning experience.</li><li>Instruction from an experienced, top-notch instructor.</li><li>Recipes to take home.</li><li>At the end of each class, the opportunity to enjoy the food you created.</li></ul>

Recipes will focus on nutritious and tasty foods, using ingredients sourced from our farm whenever possible. These hands-on classes will ensure your toddler has fun creating their own tasty masterpieces!
This program is recommended for toddlers ages 2 years 9 months to age 5. Adult supervision is required; this is not a drop off program.

Our Spring Seedling Sale will feature a wonderful selection of vegetables, herbs, and flowers — all lovingly seeded and nurtured in Powisset’s greenhouses and perfectly suited for our local climate. Our farmers will be on hand to answer questions, provide guidance, and get you started on your kitchen, flower, herb, or children’s gardens. This event is perfect for experienced gardeners and newbies alike. All are encouraged to Dig In!!
