Today in Dover-Sherborn: Gone with the Fins, Keeping Time and More!

Five things you need to know for Needham, Dover and Sherborn on Sept. 12, 2013.

1. The National Weather Service thinks today looks like rain. They are predicting a 40 percent chance of heavy rains today, mostly after 11 a.m. with a 70 percent chance of same in the evening. You may see some patches of fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, expect a partly sunny day, a mostly cloudy night, and temperatures between 85ºF and 64ºF

2. How easy is it to post events to our Events Calendar? So easy! Just go to the Events page, click "Post an Event" and fill out the web form. Feel free to toss in a photo, and then hit Post Now--Your event is now on Patch.

3. "Time Keeper" by Mitch Albom is the featured book for the Dover Town Library's Pageturners Book Club. From 1 to 2 p.m., the group will meet to talk about the novel in the living room.

4. You know how to garden, and you know how to take photographs. So, relax, because combining the two is only garden photography--that's the title of Thursday's presentation at the Mass. Horticultural Society. Starts at 7 p.m. Go to www.masshort.org for more information or to register.

5. Frankly, my dear, I do give a clam! Tonight, Needham Free Library presents a musical, nautical presentation entitled "Gone with the Fins." Sea life expert, exhibit designer and former New England Aquarium staffer Paul Erickson shares his adventures at 7:30 p.m. in the community room.
